Samsung Computer, the South Korean tech giant, is set to launch a next-gen smartphone in March that will include features like a camera and a fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are expected to be the first smartphones to include features that Samsung calls “next-generation” and have been rumored to feature a fingerprint reader, but the company has yet to unveil details about the phones or release a formal price.
Samsung will be announcing the new Galaxy phones in a series of livestreams and press events that will begin in New York on Monday, March 12.
The company has said that it expects the first smartphone to arrive sometime in the second half of this year, though the firm has not released any official sales figures.
Samsung, which was founded in 2003, was recently acquired by Japanese company Sony Corp., which plans to unveil the next-Generation Galaxy smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, later this month.
