Computers have become increasingly powerful and sophisticated, but not all jobs are created equal, according to a recent report by McKinsey.
The report, titled “How the Big Boys Are Making Computers Smarter: How The Machine Learns”, says computers are making their way into the workforce, in particular as they become more efficient at tasks such as creating, organizing and displaying information.
“A good computer will help you to be more productive,” McKinsey CEO Richard Thaler told Reuters at the launch of the report.
He cited the example of a software engineer who can use a computer to create a “pretty nice-looking spreadsheet” to help others.
But it’s a job that is hard to do well.
For a job such as this, it makes sense that you would need a bachelor’s degree, says McKinsey analyst John Lebovich.
And for a job like this, there are lots of places where people are likely to want to go to get a computer.
McKinsey found that only 1 in 3 computer engineering jobs was held by people with no computer experience.
Only a few of those jobs are being filled by people who have a bachelor degree or higher, such as salespeople, managers and lawyers.
It is also not clear how much of this demand for computer engineers is a reflection of rising demand for them.
A McKinsey report last year found that in the last five years, demand for people with computer experience has jumped in the US, from 6.1% of the total workforce in 2005 to 17.1%, according to McKinsey estimates.
Computer technology is the next big thing.
We have a lot of people that are looking for jobs in computer technology and they are paying $180k for that,” said Lebovitz.
Lebovitzer said that while people with a bachelor in computer science might have higher salaries than people with only a high school degree, it is a “bad sign” for those who want to get into the job market.
In fact, people who earn a master’s degree in computer engineering might be better off than those who earn just a high-school diploma, he said.
If you’re looking to get in computer-related fields, you might want to consider a master degree, Lebovets said.
